Most of you know by now, I am not a mom. I don't have fur babies...or real babies. In fact, I'm 98% sure I'm one of two from my graduating class with out a child. [ yeah there were only 19 girls ] That doesn't mean I'm not soaking up all my friend's joy and their baby munchkins and little cheeks...which only stay little for so long.

So when it comes to the beloved nursery, why toss your overall home's aesthetic to the wayside and create a pit of pastel. Think about it...A sophisticated child's room doesn't mean stuffy. But it does mean an easier transition for:

  • What may have been an office or guest room to your new nursery.
  • A baby nursery to a 'now' toddler's room...and so on; allowing them to grow into the space.
  • The option for a gender neutral room; maybe your choosing to find out gender at birth or sharing a space with a boy and a girl!
  • Or perhaps you're trying to sell your home in which re-sale factors lean towards a space a potential owner can see themselves in. [ i.e. Mua! ]

Leave it to the trendiest blogger's like Alexandra Evjen and Meg Lonergan to share their nurseries for inspiration. And leave it to us to share how to achieve it! We've pulled some of our favorite elements from the inspiration photos below like statement lighting, tapestry rugs, kitschy wallpaper, monochromatic prints and midcentury accents.  All you have to do is click and purchase...don't forget to click on the inspo photos as well for more views!
